The FCSAA has named the Division I All-FCSAA Baseball and the Saints have two players who earned these honors. Shortstop Robert Nedry hit .422 for the Saints on the year and first baseman Ryan Chase hit .391.  Both players were consistent power hitters for the Saints on the year.  Nedry from Lighthouse Point, Florida and a transfer into the Saints from North Carolina State was second in the FCSAA in batting average while teammate Chase with fifth.  Chase also finished with 52 RBI which was good enough for the a top five finish in the state and he hit 10 homeruns on the year.  The freshmen from Land O’ Lakes will look to build on that next season with the Saints. Nedry a graduating sophmore has signed with UNC Charlotte and will play there next year.  Chase had 75 hits on the year which led the FCSAA and Nedry followed that up with 73 which was also in the top five for hits.  Both infielders were stellar for the Saints on defense too and boasted a fielding percentage of Chase (.978) and Nedry (.910).

The Saints made a late push for post season play winning four out of their last six game but that effort eventually fell short as they finished 24-26 on the year.  They did earn Coach Johnny Wiggs his 600th Santa Fe victory as the Head Coach of the Saints and also contributed to his 800th win as a head coach at the two year level.  He had previously been at Polk State College.  Wiggs is a Santa Fe Saints graduate himself and after a career both at the University of Florida and pro baseball he returned to the Harry Tholen coaching staff where he got his start in coaching.  This year Coach Johnny Wiggs will be inducted into NJCAA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame at the end of May at the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.
